27. Why I Believe “Good Enough” Is Enough
This week, I’m doubling-down on my belief that you are “good enough” in your role as a mother – and explaining why I choose to use that language. I’ve seen the argument out there that we shouldn’t tell moms that they are “enough” because it can be perceived as meaning they are “just enough.” And while I understand the sentiment of that stance, I’m standing firm behind my belief that each and every one of us is enough.
I talk about what it means to be enough, how desire for growth and acceptance of where you’re currently at can co-exisit, and why it’s important to use language that challenges problematic norms when it comes to making the world a better place for us all.
And the biggest takeaway: You are enough.
